Flankers is a situation comedy set in a place called Puddletown in the West Country. It is about the lives of the Colts rugby team (under 17's) and the story is set mainly around 6 main characters and their friends and families.

Tom Bonner (Bonny) is the team Captain and his dad is the head Coach Steve Bonner.

Ali Aliash (Ash) plays Fallback for the team and is also extremely vain.Dan Williams plays Flyhalf and his dad Jerry also coaches the team.Jake Johnson (JJ) is hooker and his grandad Brian is the groundsman.

Joe Sharke (Sharkey) plays Winger and is faster than the speed of light.

Joe and Jake are step brothers and this often has its problems on the pitch.

The drama examines the sport of rugby.....and the wins and losses, triumphs and tribulations, not only of their beloved sport but also of their personal lives too. 

Adolescence and how to navigate it in a local community is at the heart of this comedy drama.
